THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING HUMAN HAIR

ETHNICITY

Every ethnicity has different textures, thickness, and colors. If your human hair piece is too different from your bio hair the wig will not feel natural to you.

HAIR QUALITY GRADE

Many people around the world sell their hair to be used in wigs, toppers and hair extensions. The quality of everyones' hair is not equal. The higher the quality grade the longer the hair lasts, the less it tangles and the easier it is to work with.

FACTORY PROCESS

Each factory has their own proprietary processes they use to sanitize, color and preserve their hair. This greatly impacts the overall quality and longevity of the human hair piece. This is one of the most important criteria of human hair pieces and often the most neglected point.

THE HAIRAPY SHOP HUMAN HAIR

At The Hairapy Shop we do not leave human hair quality to question. We work directly with our factory to supply premium human hair with the most advanced cap construction available in the market.

Our business partnership with our factory gives us the ability to know where our hair is sourced, the processes the hair goes through and design each piece to meet our clients needs.

HUMAN HAIR

  • CONFIDENCE

You can wear both synthetic and human hair wigs and toppers confidently.
  • BUDGET

Human Hair is more expensive than synthetic fiber. There is a limit to how much human hair is in the market at any given time. The better the quality of the human hair and the longer the length the more rare it is and the more expensive it is.
  • COLOR and STYLE

Human Hair does not come in as many colors as synthetic. They are very expensive to manufacture especially high quality hair, therefore the color options are limited. With most human hair you can customize it to suit your desired color so you end up getting the perfect look.
  • CARE

Premium human hair is easy to care for. Lower grade hair is more challenging to style as it tends to tangle and frizz.
  • IMPORTANT CARE TIP

It is so important to use the recommended care products for your wigs and toppers. Using the wrong product can shorten the lifespan of your piece significantly.

COMMON WIG QUESTIONS

  • ARE WIGS HOT?

It is true that synthetic traps more heat than human hair, however, there are some very light weight cap constructions in the market that make wig wearing very comfortable even in hot climates.
  • WILL MY WIG FLY OFF?

Probably the most common question we get. Modern wigs are designed to stay on our head through every day situations. There are options available to give us extra security. See our section on Securing Your WIg.
  • WILL IT LOOK LIKE I'M WEARING A WIG?

Modern wigs are undetectable even from a close range. The hand sewing techniques used to construct the wig make it appear as though the strands are coming from our scalp.
  • WHO WEARS WIGS?

There are millions of people wearing wigs everyday. People with thinning hair, alopecia, and those undergoing chemotherapy. Also, many celebrities and women who want to change their color and style instantly.
  • WHY DO WIGS VARY IN PRICE?

Like any product we buy there are different qualities. Wigs are no different. They can vary in price. This is due to the innovation of the cap, the fibre used, color work done and sewing techniques. The overall experience and comfort with also vary depending on the quality of the piece. Not all synthetic fibre or human hair quality is equal. It is important to understand what features and quality you are considering in order to know if it is the best option for you.
